The Hispano Chamber of Commerce, FirstLight Federal Credit Union, MECA Therapies and La Clinica de Familia hosted their backpack give-away event Saturday, Aug. 13, at MECA Therapies, 1350 Hillrise Circle. More than 200 backpacks full of clothing, school supplies and hygeniec material were distributed to families in Las Cruces. The Hispano Chamber of Commerce would like to thank FirstLight Federal Credit Union, MECA Therapies, La Clinica de Familia, Bravo Mic Communications and the Las Cruces-Sun News for their contributions and fundraising efforts to make this drive possible.
